Benefit to raise money for Look Good Feel Better and Refuge

The Bold is Beautiful Project will have all pink pop up stores across the country from 27th of April to 27th of May 2018 and 100% of the proceeds will go towards women’s charities.

Several brands have donated to the project including: ASOS, Debenhams, Nails Inc, Agent Provocateur, Krispy Kreme, GHD, Shuh, the Cambridge Satchel Company and the London Evening Standard.

Kyra White, head of Bold is Beautiful brand activation, said: “Within the five years since Bold Is Beautiful first launched, we have raised more than 11 million US Dollars globally. This effort has enabled numerous charities around the world to continue doing the incredible work in supporting and empowering women”.

As well as learning more about Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) and Refuge, guests can also get their brows waxed and receive a mini mascara.

Items to look forward to include: candles, books, clothes, bags, shoes, lingerie, perfumes, make-up and much more.

There will also be an interactive pink mirror cube where you can take pictures.

Refuge aims to support and empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence or fear.

The charity works with and provides services including safe houses to survivors of, domestic violence, sexual violence, forced marriages, FMG, human trafficking or modern slavery.

Jane Keeper, Direction of Operations at Refuge said: “Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist violence against women and girls in the country”.

LGFB supports women and teenagers living with cancer by holding two-hour free workshops to help beneficiaries manage the visible side effects of cancer treatments.

The first LGFB workshop was held at the CancerKin Centre in the Royal Free Hospital, London. The workshops are held by professional beauty volunteers, who share tips and techniques, including: Make-Up, skincare, wigs and nail care.

According to their website, workshops are held across 98 locations in the UK, supporting over 19,500 women and teenagers annually.

The charity which relies solely on ‘individual fundraisers’ and ‘supporting organisations’ receives no government funding.
